Why does everybody think WWE/F is only for rednecks?

Whenever I come across a page about redneck jokes, I always come across several jokes about WWE/F or just professional wrestling in general. I’ve heard ones such as:
“You might be a redneck if you think watching professional wrestling is foreplay.”
“You might be a redneck if you have the entire WWF slurpie cup collection proudly displayed on a shelf in your trailer.”
Also, whenever somebody at school is telling me that wrestling is fake (which I know and am getting really sick of hearing), sometimes they say “only rednecks watch wrestling”, which makes absolutely NO sense! Whenever I think of rednecks watching tv, I usually imagine cowboys and guns, not professional wrestling.
Another thing, how can WWE only be for rednecks when it’s the most watched show on cable television? Would anybody mind telling me where the whole redneck/professional wrestling nonsense got started?

WCW had alot of kiddy type characters that you could connect with. One main thing Mortal Kombat craze: Mortis, Glacier, Wrath, etc.
So, with all the characters in WCW at that time do you think if WCW was around that they would get alot of ratings?
I think they would because the kids would think they were the actual characters from MK.

Okay in the Main Event it is John Morrison(still having his long deserving push) and is defending the World title against (The) Brian Kendrick. and then out of nowhere, TNA World Champion Kenny Dykstra, attacks both men and the match ends in a DQ, Kenny gets on the mic and says “WWE never gave me a chance to shine, but, TNA gave me a reason to live, and contine in professional wrestling” BOOS. Then, the all of the WWE Locker room, Tyson Kidd, Jack Swagger comes out, etc and attacks Kenny, then Amazing Red attacks Tyson from behind and does the Code Red, then he runs out of the ring and into the crowd Jack Swagger follows then out of nowhere Kurt Angle Attacks Swagger and beats him down and is busted wide out, and the show closes with Angle over the bloody Swagger

If a wrestler is involved in a feud without a title on the line… are them wrestlers being misused?
Please tell me your thoughts because it seems like majority opinion is, if a wrestler isn’t a champion then he’s being buried or misused.
